Nevertheless, I came home from my taxing job at the Hotel del Coronado Chocolate Shop to find him hot-gluing corks into this pattern. I followed his lead with only brief forays into other cork arts (wreath gifted to my parents who hang the behemoth on their door to welcome guests to a wine tastings- lmk if you need one). [SIDE BAR: I was just treated to a glimpse of fine artistry by Claire Terry of Hangen Ranch, who created a bar top landscape mimicking her astounding view of Mt. Evans, entirely from corks. Maybe she’ll send me a picture to share!] Alas, it was one of the most noteworthy aspects of the Summer of ‘92, that and the scotch sampler Dad shared with me. Anyway, you probably need at least three!
